Work

I've always liked to do work. Since my first job at camp as a teenager, I’ve always been in the thick of things. I try to be the hardest working person on the job and the more things to do, the better.

curiosity

I want to know everything. And one of the things I know is that I can’t. But that doesn’t stop me from reading, watching and listening, and otherwise trying to learn new things that are fun to do, useful for work or around the house, trivially trivial. You never know what little piece of knowledge will help solve a problem.

optimism

I’m an optimist. I always think that things can be figured out, and situations made better.

Logic

I think Mr. Spock gave logic a bad rap to the general public. Without logic and its guidance, stories don’t flow and make sense, processes don't work, problems are created or persist, and there are no useful solutions.

Empathy

I truly understand the risks a customer takes when buying a product or service, changing a supplier or making a process modification. They are trusting us to make things better—and make them look good.

THE PRINCIPLES in action

The principles are the package that makes me creative in thought, clear in communication, understanding of the points of view of others, and a cooperative member of a team.
